Super Staffers sponsored by Green Oak Dental

Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Nov. 12. This month’s Super Staffer Awards is sponsored by Green Oak Dental. Pictured from left are School Board President Nancy Morrison, Christina Witkowski and Dr. Michael Witkowski of Green Oak Dental, Child Nutrition Supervisor Victor Ramirez, Woodland Hills Elementary Literacy Academic Lead Teacher Jennifer Duncan, and Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen. Not pictured is Timberwood Middle School Para Special Ed LaShonda Alexander.

Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:

Jennifer Duncan — Woodland Hills Elementary, Literacy Alt
Those who nominated her said, "Jennifer Duncan is an absolutely amazing Literacy Academic Lead Teacher at WHE! She has such a wonderful way of encouraging new ideas, and giving us a framework for what we need to accomplish in planning. She is always encouraging when we feel overwhelmed and full of tips to make our job easier. She is extremely thorough and organized, and encourages conversation and ideas from all of us. She goes above and beyond the duties of an ALT to support our teachers and students. Thank you, Jennifer, for all that you give to the Woodland Hills Team."

LaShonda /akexabder— Timberwood Middle School, Para Special Ed
Those who nominated her said, "Having moved from a custodial position to an in-class support this year, LaShonda builds relationships with everyone in the building. LaShonda always puts her students first. Not only do her special needs children love her, but so does the entire staff at TMS. We are so happy to have LaShonda at TMS."

Victor Ramirez — Child Nutrition Supervisor
Those who nominated him said, "Child Nutrition selected Victor Ramirez as Super Staffer of the Month for his outstanding commitment to excellence. Victor constantly challenges our CNS Managers to improve food quality and presentation of food on the serving line. He thinks outside the box on bringing fresh ideas for team building and improving customer service to our students, parents, and schools. Victor teaches etiquette for our Fifth Grade Manners Banquets and dresses in his Chef hat and jacket to inspire the students and staff.   Thank you, Victor, for your commitment to excellence for Child Nutrition."

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $100 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor.
