Gold Fight Win with CMS and RMS dance teams
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Humble ISD has encouraged students to "Go Gold" to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer. Many student organizations are creating #GoldFightWin events throughout the month. Humble ISD is excited to be partnering with three local non-profits: Addi's Faith Foundation, L3 Foundation, and Mothers Against Cancer to support children who are battling pediatric cancer.
Pictured above are the dance teams from Creekwood and Riverwood middle schools, who performed together in #GoldFightWin during the CMS vs. RMS football games at the KHS stadium on September 3. CMS Dance Team is directed by Chandler Morgan, and RMS dance team is directed by Jordan Perucca.
Join us on Friday, September 13 for a special half time show at Turner Stadium during the #GoldFightWin Atascocita vs. Kingwood varsity football game that begins at 7 p.m. Tickets for the varsity football game go on sale starting Monday, September 9. You can bring a new Stuffed Animal to the Septemeber 13 varsity football game to help support children battling pediatric cancer. Kaitlyn Sitton, a seventh grader at West Lake Middle School, is collecting stuffed animals to donate to Texas Children’s Hospital, so we can, Stuff Out Cancer. The campaign will last from September 1 through September 30.
Everyone is encouraged to wear gold, not only to the game, but for the month of September in honor of children battling cancer. Local charities will be selling Go Gold t-shirts at the game for $10 each or you can order online. Order by September 4 to receive your shirt in time for the AHS vs. KHS varsity game.
