Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on May 14. This month’s Super Staffer Awards is sponsored by Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union. Pictured from left are School Board President Charles Cunningham, Sponsor Julia Arceneaux from Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union, Pine Forest Elementary IT Sharon Diaz, Humble ISD HR Coordinator Lorrie Dabbs, Ross Sterling Middle School Algebra Teacher Lacresha Jones, and Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen.
Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Sharon Diaz — Pine Forest Elementary, Campus IT
Those who nominated her said, "Sharon is a valuable asset to our campus. She serves as our campus IT, but she is so much more. Sharon builds relationships with our staff and is a go-to for advice and problem solving. She is always willing to go the extra mile for whoever and whatever needs to be done. Sharon provides training to keep our staff up to date on technology and provides valuable learning experiences for our children. She is quick to respond and troubleshoot any technology situation. Sharon is a joy to work with. Thank you Sharon for all that you do to make PFE a great place to learn!"
Lacresha Jones — Ross Sterling Middle School, Algebra Teacher
Those who nominated her said, "Mrs. Jones is an awesome Algebra teacher. She works hard to ensure that she is meeting the needs of all of her students regardless of their academic ability levels and is always more than happy to help any student outside of the school day. She has Saturday Camps for her Algebra students to ensure they are understanding the content. Mrs. Jones also piloted a girl’s club called G.L.O. Girls designed to empower young ladies to be confident, goal oriented and positive. She helped 100% of her students pass the Algebra EOC last year which was a first for Ross Sterling Middle School. We are super thankful to have Mrs. Jones on our campus!"
Lorrie Dabbs — Administration, HR Coordinator
Those who nominated her said, "Lorrie’s genuine commitment, not only to her HR department but to the District’s mission as well, continues to make a positive impact for our students through her selfless acts of support and volunteering. Her dedication and service is demonstrated by years of volunteering countless hours using her creative and collaborative skills to assist with the Education Foundation and the Humble ISD Livestock Show. She is the first one to jump in and help anywhere she is needed in our HR Dept. In addition, she is the manager for our new Administration Building and has spent many evenings and weekends to make sure all departments have what they need and are kept informed. Lorrie always provides quality service to our employees and community and is a true example of a devoted and loyal Humble ISD employee."
