Humble ISD Historical Marker Dedication

As we continue to celebrate 100 years of Humble ISD, we invite you to join us for a very special ceremony and dedication of the Humble ISD Historical Marker at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, at the Charles Bender Performing Arts Center.  Humble ISD was awarded a Texas Historical Marker in honor of the district’s founding 100 years ago.

If you enjoy history and old buildings, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Humble ISD’s history and take part in a guided tour of the Charles Bender building, which opened in 1930 and was used as the district’s only high school until 1965. The Charles Bender Performing Arts Center was renovated in 2014 to serve as a venue in downtown Humble and is located at 611 Higgins Street.

Join us for student orchestral and vocal performances, a coffee reception, and the unveiling of the historical marker!

Free parking available in the parking lot adjacent to the Charles Bender building, as well as street parking.
