Ten Humble ISD Students Named National Merit Finalists

Humble ISD is proud to announce 10 high school students who were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement and named National Merit Finalists by The National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSP).


Asad Danka, Erin Peters, and Jordan Wells from Atascocita High School; Jacob Bass, Serena Doan, Grayson Graham, Robin Hormann, Jamie Lee, Lilly Tian, and Ian Padhye from Kingwood High School rank in the top one percent of the nation’s high school seniors.


The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Of the 1.6 million entrants, 50,000 with the highest Selection Index scores (critical reading, mathematics and writing skills) qualify for recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
