Super Staffers honored at the February 12 Board Meeting
Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on February 12. This month’s Super Staffer Awards is sponsored by an anonymous donor. Pictured from left are School Board President Charles Cunningham, Eagle Springs Elementary Fifth-Grade Math Teacher Lindsey Rinnan, Purchasing Department Bid Specialist Monica Comeaux, Humble High School English Teacher Douglas Chandler, and Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen.
Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Douglas Chandler — Humble High School, English Teacher
Those who nominated him said, "Douglas Chandler has a unique ability to inspire active learning. He has exceptional teaching skills, outstanding rapport with students, holds students to rigorous academic standards, and supports by scaffolding content until they meet his expectations. He comes to school every day with a positive attitude ready and willing to help his colleagues and students. Mr. Chandler is an A+ teacher.
Monica Comeaux— Purchasing Department, Bid Specialist
Those who nominated her said, " We have been honored to have Monica Comeaux as part of our purchasing family for five years. Monica's official title is a bid specialist but anyone who has worked with her can tell you she does much more. She is the Department trainer, making sure all new bookkeepers are taught all aspects of the requisition process. She is admired by all for her fun and loving personality. We are truly blessed to have her in the Purchasing Department."
Lindsey Rinnan — Eagle Springs Elementary, Fifth-Grade Math Teacher
Those who nominated her said, "Lindsey Rinnan works collaboratively with her team to create innovative lessons. She has been instrumental in developing engaging math stations and daily facilitates small group instruction, causing great growth and achievement for all students. She is an honest person who prefers to lead with grace. She is a great problem solver, and her team often goes to her for advice. She is a leader at ESE who is well respected by peers, students, and parents."
CAMPUS SUPER STAFFERS
Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement.
