Atascocita High School senior, Kelly Jaimes, received a $500 Kroger gift card after winning the Kroger Drug Take-Back Day PSA contest. Jaimes entered the PSA contest for a class project in her Law Enforcement class during Red Ribbon Week. Kroger recently launched a prescription drug safety program, a digital course about prescription drug abuse prevention. The drug safety awareness program, co-developed by the education technology company EVERFI, is expected to be implemented in almost 90 schools across Texas before the end of the school year. Jaimes was recognized for her winning PSA at her campus by a Kroger representative and presented a $500 Kroger gift card. Her PSA focused on the proper disposal of prescription drugs.
