Humble ISD Police Department command staff were honored at the October 9 Board Meeting for earning the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) Trilogy Award. The officers included Lt. Erica Journet, Sgt. Albert Casarez, Sgt. Gregory Letien, and Sgt. Jarrod McCormick.

The FBI LEEDA Trilogy Award is an achievement obtained by law enforcement professionals who have completed the required three Leadership Institute courses. Each course is a week long in its instruction and presents different areas of leadership.

The first course, Supervisory Leadership, gives first line supervisors the knowledge of what it is to lead their front line officers and complete the objective handed down from the command staff. The second course, Command Leadership, gives the student the ability to take commands from the executive level and relay those objectives to the supervisory personnel to accomplish goals. The final course, Executive Leadership, provides the new leader with overall department leadership and responsibility. This is accomplished by gained experiences from their instructors who are former law enforcement leaders, such as retired and current chiefs of police, handpicked from the FBI LEEDA Institute staff.
