Transportation Department recognized at the June Board meeting

Transportation Top 100 Fleets

For the fourth consecutive year, Humble ISD Transportation has been recognized among the Top 100 Fleets in the Americas. They ranked number 14 out of 38,000 eligible government fleets including cities, counties, states, and school districts. Each year the top 100 fleets are chosen based on key performance measurements, work progress, evidence of a high trust culture, implementation of new programs and constant improvement, among other factors.

Also recognized were Jerrod Jacobs and Jovan Jackson, who placed first and third (respectively) in this year’s state level America’s Best School Bus Technicians skills competition. With his first-place win, Jacobs will represent Humble ISD in the America’s Best national competition that will be held in Kansas City, Missouri this October. This is his second consecutive state technician title for Humble ISD.

Jerry Burd, Director of Transportation, presented the Board with a banner that indicates their four years of consecutive recognition in the Top 100 Fleets in the Americas competition.
