Annual CTE Career Expo gives students an opportunity to investigate their future
February is Career and Technical Education Month! To showcase the programs and projects our middle and high school students are doing across the district, our CTE leaders and students came together at the Humble Civic Center. The CTE Career Expo is a free event and open to the entire community.
The Civic Center was lined with tables for CTE course leaders and their students to share their CTE projects and provide information on how students can sign up for courses. Competitions and demonstrations included: CO2 car race, Bridge Design, Wood Lathes, CNC Machines, Rockets, Auto Tech and Auto Body, College and Tech Schools, Pre-Engineering, JROTC, Health Science, HOSA, Robotics, Computer Maintenance, Welding, Culinary Arts, Business and Computer Tech, Animation and Graphic Design, Cosmetology, Architecture and Construction, Criminal Justice, Clover Kids Rabbit Exhibit, Marketing Dynamics, Audio/Video Production, American Robots Academy, 3D Computer Lab, Rodeo Art Creation Stations and Displays, Hospitality and Tourism, Pharmacy Tech, and Advanced Academics.
If you missed the CTE Career Expo, be sure to catch the Career Expo next year. Humble ISD offers a variety of CTE courses. Visit our Career and Technical Education website for more information.
