2018 Humble ISD Rodeo Art Show
This year the Humble ISD Fine Arts Education department is working with the Humble ISD Livestock and Rodeo committee members to host our own Rodeo Art adjudicated exhibit. For many years we have participated in the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Art program and over the years we have enjoyed seeing our students receive awards and recognition. We have wanted to bring this type of event home to our local community. We felt this would be a good year to begin a local rodeo art program. Given all the challenges our district families have experienced we thought this would be a wonderful way to celebrate and recognize the artistic accomplishments of our student artists. This exhibit will feature a wider variety of western themed art created by our district student artists, kinder through 12th grade. We want to include our local community members and families in the arts and along with our annual Spring Fine Arts Festival we see this as another avenue for our community to experience and enjoy our amazing student artwork and celebrate our young artists.
We invite the Humble/Kingwood community to come view the work at the beautiful Bender Performing Arts Center, 611 Higgins Street, Humble on Friday, February 2, 5:00-8:00 PM or Saturday, February 3, 12:00-4:00 PM. Selected pieces from the exhibit will be on display at the Humble Civic Center February 6-9, 2018.
