State Rep. Dan Huberty, Chair of the House Public Education Committee in the Texas Legislature, received a standing ovation from Superintendents and School Board Trustees throughout Texas when announced as the 2017 Key Communicator Award Recipient at the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards Annual Conference on Oct. 6. Prior to his election in 2010 to the Texas House, Huberty served on Humble ISD’s Board of Trustees. The Key Communicator Award is presented to a Texan providing outstanding contributions to public education through communication. More information.
