HHS Alumni Association 84th Annual Reunion Celebration


HHS old wildcat head.jpg Since 1932, Humble has continued a tradition that few communities can match. Offering a chance for every graduate to return home and celebrate with classmates and friends, the Humble High School Alumni Association will be gathering at the Humble Civic Center on Saturday, June 11, 2016 for the 84th Annual Reunion Celebration.  All graduates of Humble High and its predecessor Charles Bender High School are invited to share in an evening of fun, reminiscing and dancing as the organization gathers to honor the 50 year class of 1966 and award scholarships to students from the class of 2016.  Admission to the Celebration is $30 per person with a $5 discount to attendees over 65.


Online registration for the 2016 Celebration is available by secure website at .  Or you can visit the Humble Civic Center Wednesday and Thursday, June 8 and 9 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to purchase tickets for the banquet or the dance in person.


“A Texas State of Mind” is the theme of this year’s event, and the entertainment will showcase the music of George Strait.  The program will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner provided by Demeris Catering and Bar-B-Q.  Around 8:45p.m., Derek Spence will begin his Tribute to George Strait performance.  The dance and concert portion of the evening will be open to the public.


A limited number of items will be live auctioned including a painting by artist Gary Tuttle, a member of the Class of 1966. 


A new opportunity to support the Humble High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fundraising is the purchase of Corporate Sponsored tables for the event.  Each $1000 table sponsorship will provide 10 admissions to the event, three bottles of wine for the table and VIP seating for the concert, as well as sponsorship recognition in the program.  If you are interested in sponsoring a table please contact Allan Griffin at with your personal or organization information.


Again this year the Celebration will have a cash bar.  No outside alcohol will be allowed in the Civic Center this year. 


Admission for the concert only is $20 and will be available at the door or online at  The doors will open for concert goers at 8:30 p.m. and the band will play till midnight.


An additional entertainment opportunity will happen Friday, June 10 at the Humble Civic Center courtesy of the Class of 1981.  Humble High graduate and Los Angeles radio personality, Monique Marvez will perform a solo comedy concert with all proceeds going to benefit the Humble High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.  You can read about the comedian on her website at  or purchase tickets at
