Atascocita High School Theatre UIL One Act Play Advances to Region

Update April 9, 2016
Atascocita High School's UIL One-Act Play Company ADVANCED TO THE REGION CONTEST from Area this past Saturday,April 9! This is the first time since 2011 that AHS OAP will be competing at the Region level. The Region contest will be held at Baylor University Friday, April 22 and AHS performs last out of six schools at 5:10 p.m.

AHS also won several individual awards: Johnny Painter received an individual Top Technician award; Anna Flynn received an Honorable Mention All-Star Cast awards and Karen Grentz received an All-Star Cast award.
 
Update April 1, 2016:
Atascocita High School advanced again from Bi-District to Area! There were two Honorable Mentions, two All Star Cast and a Top Tech! Next Contest is at College Station HS on Saturday April 9th, performance at 7pm.
 
On Thursday, March 24 Atascocita High School competed in the District 16-6A Competition. AHS advanced from the District contest for the 2nd year in a row. The next contest is Bi-District and will also be hosted at AHS this Friday, April 1, with 6 schools competing. AHS will be the last school, with our performance starting at around 8:00pm (though possibly a little later depending on the efficiency of the contest).
 
In addition to advancing as a school, AHS also won several individual awards:
Areli Navarro received an individual Top Technician award;
Austin Brady and Anna Flynn received Honorable Mention All-Star Cast awards;
Karen Grentz received an All-Star Cast award.
AHS student Alaya Gallegos was named BEST ACTRESS for all of District 16-6A!!!
