The Middle School Art Competition is one of the educational outreach programs of the Art Colony Association designed to give middle school students more opportunity to compete and showcase their art work. The Art Colony Association, producers of the Bayou City Arts Festival, sponsors this yearly event for area Middle School Art Students. 30 finalists were selected from over 300 entries and will be on display at the Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park, April 30-May 1, 2016.

Seven of our Humble ISD middle schools submitted 56 student works this year and we are very proud that 7 student pieces were selected as finalists. The top 3 finalists of the 30 will be awarded art supply gift certificates, a scholarship to a one week class at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston's Glassell Junior School of Art, recognition and presentation of award at the Bayou City Festival. The schools of the top 3 winners will receive art supply gift certificates as well.
