Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Feb. 9. Thanks to the Humble ISD Education Foundation for sponsoring this month's Super Staffers! Pictured above are School Board President Robert Sitton, Transportation Technician Duronemo Jones, Ridge Creek Elementary 5th Grade Teacher Patrick Andrus, Kingwood High School Science ALT Teacher Pamela Snapp, and Superintendent Dr. Guy Sconzo.

Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:

Patrick Andrus Ridge Creek Elementary 5th Grade RELA/SS Teacher

Those who nominated him said, " Mr. Andrus is always willing to help in any capacity and is a great role model. He plays an active role in the community & school. He also builds positive relationships with students, parents, & staff and consistently goes above & beyond what is expected."

Pamela Snapp, — Kingwood High School Science ALT Teacher

Those who nominated her said, "Ms. Snapp has taken on a giant load this semester. She is performing all of her normal duties, and in addition helps manage, run, and grade six periods of science classes. She spent an entire day meeting with the students in these classes one-on-one to talk about where they were in their learning and how to improve. She keeps the science department running smoothly, steering us clear of dangerous waters."
"She exemplifies what it means to be an ALT in Humble ISD. She simultaneously pushes our advanced learners by providing support to our honors level teachers and AND differentiates interventions for our struggling students by hosting tutorials on her own and facilitating professional development in her department to guide teachers in how they may reach these students. Her passion for her content and kids is second to none. She has a big heart and makes everyone else's job in the building easier."

Duronemo Jones — Transportation Technician

Those who nominated her said, "Duronemo has been employed with us since April 2015. During this time he has proven himself to be a valued employee. He continuously volunteers to do what is needed without question. Mr. Jones shows his loyalty, concern for safety, shop cleanliness, and devotion to doing the right thing each and every day. It is a pleasure and privilege to work alongside a man of his character. In most cases “Super Staffer” is someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty in a certain instance. This happens on a daily basis with Mr. Jones."

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor. The sponsor for the Super Staffer Awards this month is Humble ISD Education Foundation.
