Unify Energy Solutions Sponsors Super Staffers

Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on December 8. Thanks to Unify Energy Solutions for sponsoring this month's Super Staffers! Pictured above, from left, are Donald McCorquodale and Todd Searcy of Unify Energy Solutions, School Board President Robert Sitton, DAEP Social Studies Teacher Samantha Mysinger, Oak Forest Counselor Raina Mickles, Facilities Rental Clerk Chrissie Shideler, and Superintendent Dr. Guy Sconzo.

Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:

Samantha Mysinger DAEP Social Studies Teacher

Those who nominated her said, "Samantha's classroom is one of intrigue and exploration. She makes social studies fun and exciting for students while challenging them to stretch their learning. Ms. Mysinger encourages her students to work together to explore cultures, societies and lands far away."

Rania Mickles, — Oak Forest Elementary Counselor
Those who nominated her said, "Rania has helped 23 families celebrate Thanksgiving with food. She coordinated the donations, drop off, and pick up of these complete meals. She has put together guidance groups and grief groups in the past month to help more students in need by forming the affective relationships. She also had OFE student council recognize our custodians, bus drivers, and cafeteria workers on Nov. 18 with a full breakfast. Rania also developed Backpack Buddies at OFE; a program that ensures our students in need have food to eat over the weekend."

Chrissie Shideler — Facilities Rentals Clerk

Those who nominated her said, "Chrissie is a pleasant person to work with and always has a smile on her face. She coordinates all of our department's celebrations and works well with all. She does a super fantastic job scheduling and coordinating custodial staff, administrators, and air conditioning for our District's renters. For this and many other reasons we nominate Chrissie for our Super Staffer. She is closing the gap towards excellence!"

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor. The sponsor for the Super Staffer Awards this month is Unify Energy Solutions.
