Olonilua said he considers this distinction a great honor and a blessing. He thanked his parents, teammates, coaches, and trainers for their part in this great opportunity.
The 6-foot-3-inch, 217 pound senior played at running back and safety. In his senior season, Olonilua closed out the regular season leading all rushers in District 16-6A with 94 carries for 1,073 yards, averaging 11.41 yards per carry, and 14 touchdowns. He was voted captain and overall team MVP as a junior. Olonilua held several college offers before committing to the TCU Horned Frogs to play on the defensive side of the ball, including Stanford, Texas, Oklahoma State, LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M and Nebraska.
