Texan Drive Sponsors Super Staffers of the Month

Super Staffers

Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on November 10. Thanks to Texan Drive for sponsoring this month's Super Staffers! Pictured above are Summerwood Elementary Counselor Shannon Kinniebrew, Summer Creek High School Teacher Sam Pollard and Payroll Secretary Maria Saenz. 

Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:


Shannon Kinniebrew, Summerwood Elementary Counselor

Those who nominated her said, "Shannon models the often used term - "student-centered."  His thoughts, words, and actions show true and genuine care for the students of our school community.  Shannon is visible and present throughout the campus and always available to help a child or listen to a concern.  He is a problem solver that looks for root cause of issues and works to find solutions.  He engenders a positive personality that is a perfect fit for the beliefs and practices of Summerwood Elementary.  Shannon Kinniebrew is a Super Hero for children." 


Sam Pollard, — Summer Creek High School Social Studies Teacher Those who nominated her said, "Mr. Pollard is an excellent teacher who goes above and beyond his regular duties as a teacher.  First, he seeks to form relationships with students through sponsoring the Creek Crazies, MC's the pep rallies, as well as makes himself available morning and afternoon for students whom need extra help.  His lessons are very engaging and he also does a History Cinema for the students to participate in.  At this time, we are short an English teacher, Mr. Pollard has volunteered his conference period to teach an English class so the students do not fall behind."



Maria Saenz — Payroll Secretary

Those who nominated her said, "Maria Saenz was chosen because of her excellent customer service skills. She always provides accurate information and she demonstrates daily how to be a team player.  She serves each customer with a smile even while she was going through personal adversity. She is a great example!" 


Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor. The sponsor for the Super Staffer Awards this month is The Humble ISD Education Foundation
