Education Foundation Sponsors Super Staffers of the Month

Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on October 13. Thanks to the Humble ISD Education Foundation for sponsoring this month's Super Staffers! Pictured above are Woodland Hills 4th Grade Teacher Cynthia McDonald, Humble Middle School Reading Teacher Julia Sanders, and Instruction Support Center Technical Support Specialist Abria Perry.
Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:

Cynthia McDonald – Woodland Hills Elementary 4th Grade Teacher
Those who nominated her said, "Cynthia McDonald is a dynamic 4th grade teacher who always goes above and beyond for both her students and colleagues. She displays her love for learning by attending various professional developments like Capturing Kid's Hearts and Digital Learning in addition to the trainings needed for her content area. She is a leader on our campus and always goes the extra mile. She encourages her students to think positively and to try their best. She is always caring and respectful with her students and in return she is both loved and respected by many. We are blessed to have her on our WHE team."
Julia Sanders – Humble Middle School Reading Teacher
Those who nominated her said, "I would like to celebrate Mrs. Sanders. She has taken the role of team lead by storm. Not only has she become an awesome leader.  She has also given of her time....staying to well past 6:30 pm following a Friday PLC training to simply be present while I taught my our new 7th grade teachers how to develop and write lesson plans.   She has given of her resources..... She has supplied each 7th grade teacher a personal library that consist of books that she gathered and purchased over the summer.   She is always willing to help above and beyond what is asked of her.   She exemplifies true teamwork and leadership.   And there has yet to be a day that I have not been blown away by a lesson that I witnessed her bring to life! While closing the achievement for all students."
Abria Perry – Instructional Support Center Technical Support Specialist
Those who nominated her said, "Abria has worked very hard this last summer as project lead on the re-imaging of 14,000 district computers. She worked the Fridays designated as non-work days and yet always had a smile and kind words for all that requested her attention."

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor. The sponsor for the Super Staffer Awards this month is The Humble ISD Education Foundation
