Sterling Middle School PTA hosts Membership Luncheon
On Sept. 22, Ross Sterling PTA held their 3rd Annual Community and Faculty PTA Membership Lunch. Members of Ross Sterling PTA, Humble ISD local PTAs, the Humble ISD Council of PTAs and the community came together to provide donations of food, paper products, desserts, decorations and door prizes for the teachers and staff of Ross Sterling Middle School. The purpose of this event was to promote 100% full time faculty PTA membership and also encourage members of the community to join and support Ross Sterling PTA.
This was also an opportunity for the new Ross Sterling Principal, Damico Bartley, to see how the local PTAs work together as a family to assist each other when help is needed. Kingwood Park High PTSA is Ross Sterling's PTA partner in the district and was a major contributor. Other PTAs that participated include Ross Sterling Middle, Kingwood High, Deerwood Elementary, Jack Fields Elementary, Kingwood Middle, Elm Grove Elementary, Foster Elementary, Woodland Hills Elementary and Board Members of the Humble ISD Council of PTAs.
The event was a success as Ross Sterling Middle achieved their 100% full time faculty PTA membership and their Golden Apple Award! Ten community members also joined and became members of Ross Sterling PTA. All community members are welcomed and encouraged to join a local PTA to help support the programs and educational enhancements provided by the PTAs to their schools.
