YMCA Miracle League Baseball
Houston Y is excited to announce the first ever YMCA Miracle League Baseball
Season for youth/young adults with special needs (ages 4-23). This program is
designed to give parents and family members the opportunity to watch their child
participate in a sports program, while their child has a buddy or two assisting
them to play America’s Pastime game of Baseball.
In Partnership with Humble ISD & the Humble ISD Athletic Department, the games will be played on Saturday mornings at the Humble High School Girls Softball field. Turner Stadium restrooms will be available for use. The initial first season is 4 weeks, with subsequent seasons being 6 weeks long. The total cost per season is $25 per player and each player receives a full baseball uniform (shoes not included). Thanks to the generosity of YMCA donors, the cost is kept low for families.
The Lake Houston Y is looking for Volunteer BUDDIES to help provide the best experience possible for all players and families. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact AC Currie at AC.email@example.com or 281-360-2500. Buddies will receive training and a shirt.
The goal is to fill two full teams the first season with 50 participants and 100 buddies. Please see the FLIER and REGISTRATION FORM. Registration forms must be filled out and turned in to the Lake Houston Y by October 12.
