Each year the top 100 fleets are chosen based on key performance measurements, work progress, evidence of a high trust culture, implementation of new programs and constant improvement, among other factors. This award is open to all government fleets including cities, counties, states and school districts.
"Ranking among the best in the nation is a clear reflection of the hard work of our transportation team, from our bus drivers, our mechanics and our entire staff, working together as one team to support our community and schools," Humble ISD Assistant Director of Transportation Mark Swackhamer, CAFM, said.
Jeffrey Prowell, Director of Transportation, also credits the staff and the district for their commitment and dedication to quality service for students.
“We are grateful for the support of our Superintendent and entire School Board for giving us the resources and manpower necessary to effect a positive change in the Transportation Department. This designation is the result of the entire team’s effort towards continuous improvement. We look forward to the full implementation of all the programs and initiatives that are currently underway.”
