Night Light Pediatrics Sponsored Super Staffers of the Month

Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on April 14. Thanks to Night Light Pediatrics for sponsoring this month's Super Staffers! Pictured above are Superintendent Dr. Guy Sconzo, Fall Creek Elementary Special Ed Paraeducator Josh Rother, Kingwood Park High School English teacher Michelle Neel, Transportation Technician Jesus Gonzalez, and Board President Robert Scarfo. Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Josh Rother - Fall Creek Elementary Special Education Paraeducator
Those who nominated him said, "Josh closes the gap by being proactive in seeking the best ways to help our students socially, behaviorally, and academically.  He is also a lifesaver for the teachers."

Michelle Neel - Kingwood Park High School English teacher
Those who nominated her said, “
Michelle serves both as a teacher to students and mentor to others.  She bolsters the confidence of young teachers and inspires them to grow in the profession.  Her innovative approach to the subject is second to none.  She works collaboratively with her team, encourages everyone, and is able to bring a smile to all.  She is such a joy to work with and is such a remarkable educator."

Jesus Gonzalez - Transportation Technician
Those who nominated him said, “Jesus is an outstanding member of the Transportation Team and works tirelessly to ensure that the districts fleet of vehicles is operational and safe.  On March 28, 2015, Jesus competed in a statewide school bus mechanic competition and won 2nd place in the State of Texas in the technician category. We are thrilled to have someone of Jesus' caliber working on our team every day.”

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor. The sponsor for the Super Staffer Awards this month is Night Light Pediatrics.
