AHS Theatre UIL OAP Advances to Bi-District

AHS Theatre UIL OAP

On Friday, March 27, Atascocita High School Theatre Arts participated in the District UIL One-Act Play competition at Lone Star College - Tomball. AHS ADVANCED to the next level of competition, Bi-District, to be held again at LSC-Tomball on Saturday, April 11. At that competition, 3 of the 6 schools competing will then advance to the Area level. For the Bi-District Competition on the 11, AHS performs first at 11am. The show we are doing is a comedy called The Imaginary Invalid by Moliere.

A total of 7 schools competed at the District contest this past Friday, and in addition to advancing along with Kingwood and The Woodlands, 3 AHS students also won individual honors - Brandon Vaughn (Senior) was named one of only 7 Best Technicians; Zachary Barrett (Senior) was named one of only 8 All-Star Cast members; and Ashlyn Cannon (Junior) was named the BEST ACTRESS of the entire contest! These are extremely high honors considering the number of schools and students participating, and the entire company represented AHS with the utmost professionalism and class. All company members and their grade levels are listed below.
