AHS Lady Eagles Soccer are Bi-District Champions

AHS Soccer Lady Eagles

The Lady Eagles soccer team has done it again! For the 2nd year in a row, the Ladies have taken out a district champ in the 1st round of the state playoffs. Your Lady Eagles are Bi-District Champs!! The Ladies fought Klein to a 2-2 tie in regulation. Goals were scored by Sophomore Jazmin Grant and Senior Brooke Albee. Assists were provided by Sophomore Jazmin Grant and Senior Emily Richardson. After two 10 minute overtime halves, the game went to a shootout. During the shootout, goals were scored by Senior Becca Demith, Sophomore Goalkeeper Kelsey Brann, and Sophomore Jazmin Grant. The game came down to their last shooter. With the game on the line, Sophomore Goalkeeper Kelsey Brann made a game winning save on their 5th shooter to send it to a sudden death shootout. Freshman Peyton Cutshall came up as the 6th shooter and put it away to move ahead. Kelsey Brann once again came up huge with another big save to win the game. The Ladys will play next week in the Area Championship. Game information will come next week.  Check the AHS website for updates!
