Humble ISD students win Texas Youth Art Month Award
March is National Youth Art Month (YAM) and the Texas Art Education Association sponsors the YAM State Capitol Art Exhibit in Austin each year. Schools from all over Texas submit artwork made from students K-12 to be selected for exhibition in the YAM State Capitol Art Exhibit. Students artwork from the YAM exhibit moves to the State Capitol Building and is framed and hung for viewing. Humble ISD had four students artwork selected for the exhibition. The winning students were honored at a ceremony held at the Bullock History Museum in Austin. The First Lady of Texas, Cecilia Abbott presented each student with their award.
