Night Light Pediatrics Sponsored Super Staffers of the Month

Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on February 10. Thanks to Night Light Pediatrics for sponsoring this month's Super Staffers. Pictured above are Superintendent Dr. Guy Sconzo, Night Light Pediatrics Representative Amanda Guera, Carpenter and Crafts Department Lead Don Gilbert, Oak Forest Elementary First Grade Teacher Allison Wolf, Summer Creek High School Social Studies Academic Lead Teacher Brittany Wheeler, and Board President Robert Scarfo. Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Allison Wolf — Oak Forest Elementary 1st Grade Teacher Those who nominated her said, "Allison is a dedicated teacher and a caring person. This year, Allison partnered with a fifth grade class to complete service learning at Rosemont Assisted Living, a senior living facility within walking distance from our campus. Each month, both classes walk to Rosemont Assisted Living and read or complete activities with the residents. This brings so much joy to her students and to the residents! We are so lucky to have Allison at our campus."

Brittany Wheeler — Social Studies Academic Lead Teacher

Those who nominated her said, “ Ms. Wheeler helped develop community by providing holiday gifts to 118 students which encompassed Summer Creek High School, two middle schools and four elementary schools. Gifts ranged from 25 to 50 dollars.

Don Gilbert — Carpenter and Crafts Department Lead

Those who nominated him said, “Don responds to any after-hours emergency calls 24/7. He supervises the Crafts Department in the absence of the Department Supervisor. Don has been "On Call" for the District in excess of 20 yrs. He never says no when asked to complete a task. He is very responsible and dependable. Don closes the gap towards excellence every day with his service to Humble ISD.”

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor. The sponsor for the Super Staffer Awards this month is Night Light Pediatrics.
