Humble ISD Council of PTA’s Founder’s Day Fundraiser Presents: “The Traveling Quilt”

The Humble ISD Council of PTA's is excited to benefit Humble ISD’s graduating seniors by announcing the Founders Day Traveling Quilt Fundraiser for the Humble ISD Council of PTAs Council Scholarship Fund!  This fund has helped hundreds of seniors over the last several years to achieve their college goals.  Every senior from all over the district has an opportunity to apply for this PTA scholarship in March 2015.
The quilt was donated by the quilting group, “The Cut Ups.”  The quilt is hand appliquéd and then professionally quilted by Chris Heimburger of “Quilt Me a Story.”  “The Cut Ups”, are composed of a group of nine ladies, several in their 70s and 80s. They spent over 250 plus hours this summer working hard to complete the quilt before the school year started. This was truly a labor of love!  The Humble ISD Council of PTA’s thanks the “Cut-Ups” for BACKING the Future generation and for being involved in our CommYOUnity!

Donation tickets are on sale right now at a cost of $2 each or three for $5, and can be purchased until the drawing on February 18, 2015 at the Overlook Country Club in Atascocita.  You do not need to be present to win.  Our quilt will be traveling to schools, events and businesses to give everyone an opportunity to win, so be sure to watch for the upcoming locations and dates!  Do you want the Traveling Quilt to come to your event, school or business?  Then please contact Deborah Crow at silver-and-lace
