AHS Theater students present bully prevention skits to MBE fifth graders
High School Theater students, under the direction of teacher Justin Vincent,
performed six skits for the Maplebrook Elementary fifth grade class, as part of
the schools’ program No Place for Hate.
The skits educated students on how to respond in tough situations such as
cyberbullying, physical bullying, hazing, and peer pressure. The themes were
centered on how educators, victims, bullies and standby students can impact the
No Place for Hate, a
recognition program sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League, encourages
school-wide activities that students and staff organize and implement to stand
up against bullying and promote respect.
