American Heart Association honors Humble ISD School Board
The American Heart Association presented the Humble ISD School Board with a framed expression of thanks and spoke about the total impact made by their supportive partnership with AHS during the last school year.
In 2013-14, 19 schools completed Jump Rope or Hoops for Heart activities raising a total of $76,360 and reaching 11,000 students and their families. In last year's Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk, Humble ISD raised $31,000 and reached every member of the staff along with members of the community, more than any other school district in the state! Additionally, 778 people registered as walkers on Humble ISD teams. The total impact of these partnerships was $107,360.
This year, 20 schools are registered to participate in Jump Rope or Hoops for Heart.
The 2014 Greater Houston Heart & Stroke Walk will be Saturday, November 8 at 8 a.m. at Lone Star College-Kingwood. Register and join a team here.
