Humble High School International Baccalaureate Graduates Honored

HHS IB Graduates 2016

Members of the Humble High School Class of 2016 were recognized at the August Board of Trustees Meeting for earning the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. To earn the IB diploma, these students were required to meet demanding academic standards, including: passing all six of the required IB exams; completing four years of a foreign language; completing 150 hours of community service; and numerous writing assignments. One of the writing assignments is a 4,000-word paper completed on the students’ time, outside of school. These students chose to participate in the most rigorous academic curriculum offered in Humble ISD.

The IB Diploma Programme enjoys a high level of respect and recognition among the world’s higher education institutions. For students, success in the IB often results in advanced standing, course credit, scholarships, and other admissions related benefits at many universities.
