Humble High School International Baccalaureate students hosted their Second Annual National Philanthropy Day Showcase on November 15. Students working toward their International Baccalaureate Diploma have been working on their student initiated projects from Spring 2016 to now.
The Humble High School International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is an academically acclaimed two-year program that prepares students for the rigors of college course work. The IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
National Philanthropy Day, an official day established in 1986, is a celebration of philanthropy, giving, volunteering, and charitable engagement that highlights accomplishments, large and small, that philanthropy makes to our society and the world.
Several of the student-initiated campaigns will become annual campaigns led by students. Below you can view a few of last year’s Philanthropy projects.
