AHS French Club holds pink flag ceremony for Breast Cancer Awareness Month


Breast Cancer Awareness Ceremony


Thursday morning, Atascocita High School students and staff gathered near the flag pole to honor breast cancer survivors and those who have lost their battle to breast cancer. The Atascocita High School JROTC color guard presented the flags and Atascocita High School Spanish Teacher, Virgilio Davis sang the National Anthem. Following the National Anthem members of the school and staff were able to stake their personalized Breast Cancer flags in the ground in solidarity against Breast Cancer. Atascocita High School principal Bill Daniels gave a touching speech about standing together to support a great cause.


The money raised from flag orders will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Flags can be purchased for $2 each. For more information please contact, Monique Zibi.
