Humble High School Wildcat Pride
Humble High School Homecoming Week continues with tailgate party and varsity football game. Humble High School student organizations brought food, carnival games, inflatable obstacle courses and music to the community tailgate party before the big varsity football game. The tailgate brought out HHS Alumni, students and community members.
“It’s really important for the students of Humble to come together and support the different programs on campus. But this event is also about including the community and supporting our school and having fun,” says Steven Williams, Humble High School Key Club advisor.
Students enjoyed carnival food, face painting and karaoke before heading into the game.
Humble High School Alumna, Tricia Weaver explained, agreeing to volunteer at the homecoming tailgate came natural because she learned the importance of giving back in the Humble High School Key Club organization. “20 years after graduation it is still amazing to see how the school has grown and I’m excited to experience homecoming as an alumni. Now I bring my children to the homecoming activities,” said Weaver.
Wildcat Pride extends beyond the stands at the homecoming game. It follows students and staff throughout the school year.
"Wildcat Pride is FAMILY. It’s supporting our fellow classmates on and off the field. I think it’s important to include the community in big school events like homecoming because it creates unity,” said Humble High School senior Angelica Rodriguez.
Students followed cheers led by the Wildcat Cheerleaders and cheered on the Wildcat football team during the game!
