Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:

Paul Touchstone Willow Creek Elementary, 5th Grade Teacher

Those who nominated him said, "Mr. Touchstone provides outstanding leadership at Willow Creek and builds strong relationships with his students. He serves on the District Decision Making team and also coaches Willow Creek's Science Olympiad team. He organized the district pilot for Science Olympiad and serves as a resource for other schools. Most importantly, Mr. Touchstone is known for helping every student in his classroom enjoy learning and experience success."

Mary Fischer — Kingwood Park High School, Nurse

Those who nominated her said, "Ms. Fischer adds to the strong campus climate and culture by positively interacting with students, faculty members, and parents in a wide variety of situations. The campus administrators have great confidence that the nurse's office is run efficiently, professionally, and with a high level of care and attention to detail for every student."

Greg Corkern — Technology Services

Those who nominated him said, "Greg is positive and eager to learn. Recently he retrieved inventory information, set a schedule and swapped out older tower PCs in a lab before the deadline. Greg is committed to making sure users are happy, and that their technology needs are met."

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurants thanks to an award sponsor. The sponsor for the Super Staffer Awards this month is The Education Foundation.
