Football Season Ends
Football season ends with two conference champs and one undefeated district champ for the Tigers. The 7A team were the undefeated district champs. Both 8B and 7B ended as conference champs. The 8B team was 4-0 in conference and 7-1 overall. The 7B team was 4-0 in conference and 6-2 overall.

AMS Choir Students perform at Convocation 2022
Atascocita Middle School 8th grade choir students, Ananya Anup and Kaylie Lam, and former AMS choir students, now 9th grade students at AHS, Callie Everett and Jonathan Hark, performed for Convocation 2022. The students were part of a middle & high school choir group directed by Summer Creek High School choir director Amanda Robison and performed "Just Sing" from the Trolls World Tour movie.

Congratulations One Act Play at UIL!
Congratulations to Theatre for placing first at the District level for their One Act Play, The Last Train. Jonathan Hark won Best Performer. Olivia Salazar and Noah Scott won All-Star Cast. Landon Reith and Kira Van Cleave won Honorable Mention All-Star Cast. And Riddick Winter won Best Techie.

Congratulations, Tigerettes, on a great first competition! 1st place in all dances, 2nd Best Overall Middle School Officers, won Grand Champion for Middle School division, 2nd place Best of the Best Officer Line (including going against high school Officer groups)

All-Region Band
Thirty students from Honor Band competed in All-Region Band auditions. This is where they compete against all middle schools in Humble ISD, Galena Park ISD, Crosby ISD and Sheldon ISD to earn a spot in the All-Region Band. Many students audition, but if you make the All-Region Band, it is broken up by ability level starting with Symphonic Band, Concert Band then District band. Students in Symphonic and Concert Band will perform a concert with their group this Saturday.

TikTok Tigerettes
We are so proud to announce that Ms. Edwards and Mrs. Polk's girls came 1st and 2nd place for the DEA's Red Ribbon Week Tik Tok challenge! Their video will be seen during Tiger Time. Thank you to Mrs. Nichols for organizing all the Red Ribbon Week videos, Tik Tok Challenge, and give-aways for kids participating in the spirit days; and to those that participated in Red Ribbon Week.

Lady Tigers Volleyball
The 8th grade A Lady Tigers Volleyball team had an amazing season. Their record was 8-2 which landed them in a tie for second place in district. The team made history at home with a victory against the Riverwood Longhorns. This is an amazingly talented team and they will be a force to be reckoned with in high school.

Battle of the Books
AMS had two teams compete at the district-wide Battle of the Books competition. Books Anomaly (Abby Schwer, Ally Wengenroth, Kynzi Martinez, and Adelyn Rusli) made it to Round 2 and won Best Team Name. Expecto Patronum (Camryn Parrott, Jonathan Hark, and Aubrie MacDonald) were the Runners Up.

AVID Site of Distinction
AMS is one of five Humble ISD campuses named as AVID Schoolwide Sites of Distinction, a designation earned by only 7% of the AVID secondary campuses nationwide! Schoolwide Site of Distinction is the highest certification level earned by AVID campuses.

Tigerettes Wrap Up Competition Season
The Tigerettes received Super Sweepstakes at their first dance competition this season. They finished their season with 1st place in Hip Hop, 1st place in Contemporary, 1st place in Jazz, and 1st Runner Up Team. Way to go!

Red Ribbon Challenge Winners
