  • Battle of the Books

    AMS had two teams compete at the district-wide Battle of the Books competition. Books Anomaly (Abby Schwer, Ally Wengenroth, Kynzi Martinez, and Adelyn Rusli) made it to Round 2 and won Best Team Name. Expecto Patronum (Camryn Parrott, Jonathan Hark, and Aubrie MacDonald) were the Runners Up.

  • AVID Site of Distinction

    AMS is one of five Humble ISD campuses named as AVID Schoolwide Sites of Distinction, a designation earned by only 7% of the AVID secondary campuses nationwide! Schoolwide Site of Distinction is the highest certification level earned by AVID campuses.

  • Tigerettes Wrap Up Competition Season

    The Tigerettes received Super Sweepstakes at their first dance competition this season. They finished their season with 1st place in Hip Hop, 1st place in Contemporary, 1st place in Jazz, and 1st Runner Up Team. Way to go!

  • Red Ribbon Challenge Winners

    Congratulations to our Red Ribbon Challenge participants and top 2 winners:Blaine R. and Leah S.! They had to create their best spoken rap, song, poem or writing about peer pressure & substance abuse incorporating the theme: Be Happy, Be Brave, Be Drug Free.

  • Miles4Meals

    Mr. Koehler is challenging AMS students & families to exercise as a community, Saturday, May 2, to raise money for our community. 100% of the money raised will go to purchase H-E-B gift cards for AMS families impacted by COVID-19. The more money we raise, the longer Mr. Koehler will run through the AMS community and the sillier he will become!

  • Virtual Lunch & Lit Book Club

    The Library's Lunch & Lit book club is going virtual! Each month, students read the selected novel and then we met during lunches in the library to discuss the book. We will still do this, but now online in a Zoom meeting. We are still reading and discussing City of Ghosts for the month of March.

  • AMS Orchestras Compete at UIL

    This weekend, the AMS Orchestras under the direction of Ms. Lin and Ms. Gabaldon completed their UIL contests and brought back the following: Sub Non-Varsity Orchestra - Sweepstakes; Junior Varsity Orchestra - First Division Concert Award (one); Varsity Orchestra - Sweepstakes. Congratulations to all three orchestras!
