  • Credit by Examination (CBE)
A student will be permitted to take an examination to earn credit for an academic course or subject area for which the student has had no prior instruction, i.e., for advancement or to accelerate to the next grade level. During each testing window provided by the district, a student may attempt a specific examination only once.  A student in elementary school will be eligible to accelerate to the next grade level (for the 2022-2023 school year) if the student scores at least 80 on each exam in the subject areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, a district administrator recommends that the student be accelerated, and the students' parent gives written approval of the grade advancement.

For students interested in Advancement/Acceleration without prior instruction, testing will be available on specific dates. For more information and how to register please contact one of your campus counselors.
