Welcome to the SECHS CLINIC
-
Students must have a pass to come to the clinic unless it is before school or during their lunch.
If a student has a fever of 100 degrees or greater, they are not able to return to school until fever free for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Students must be free of vomiting for 24 hours before returning to school.
Please contact Sconzo ECHS Attendance if your child is not able to come to school.Reminders:- All medications are to be brought in by a parent or guardian in the original bottle. Smallest bottle possible is greatly appreciated since storage is limited.

- All prescriptions require a physician signature (unless it is only to be given at school for 10 days or less).
- Prescription medications must have properly labeled instructions from the MD and pharmacy including student's name on the label.
- A parent must pick up medication at the end of the school year or it will be destroyed according to Humble ISD policy. No medication will be carried over into the next school year.
- All medication must be picked up by noon of the student's last day of school for the school year.
FIELD TRIPS
The nurse does not attend grade level and classroom field trips, community service locations, off campus lunch on Fridays or the Lone Star campus.
If a student needs emergency or prescription medication during a field trip, please notify the nurse at least 1 week in advance of the field trip. This will allow time for training an accompanying adult to administer the medication on the field trip.

Medications Protocol
Parents and physicians are strongly encouraged to schedule all necessary student medications for administration at home during non-school hours. If a student must take medication during school hours in order to observe proper time intervals between doses, and resume full participation in the school program, dispensing the medication can become the responsibility of the school.
When it is necessary for medications to be given at school, Humble ISD medication guidelines (linked in the right column of this page) should be followed.Medications will NOT be stored in clinics over the summer for the next school year.
Policy prohibits sending medications home with students. An adult must pick up medications in person. All medications which have not been picked up by an adult will be destroyed on the last school day of the school year.
ImmunizationsAll students must be immunized in accordance with state law before entering Texas schools. Vaccines are available from doctors' offices, the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services Department, 281-446-4222, or the Houston Department of Health and Human Services, 713-794-9320.
