     Hello! My name is Candace Welch.  I have been teaching for a total of 14 years.  I have been teaching at RCE for the last 6 years.  Over the course of my career, I have taught PPCD (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities), Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and Fourth Grade.  I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University (Eat 'em Up Kats!).  I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  I have 3 kids; 1 daughter and 2 sons. 

    I currently serve as a Dyslexia Specialist on campus as well as the RTI Lead.  I am responsible for supporting student achievement in the area of reading.  I look forward to serving our CubCommUNITY!
