I became a teacher for a very simple (albeit perhaps somewhat cliché) reason - I desire to make a difference. While there are many fields in which I could accomplish this goal, I feel that education is the one in which I can have the greatest impact. Every day, children around the world are being told that they aren't good enough, or that they just "can't". As a teacher, I feel I have a positive platform from which to dispel that fallacy. I realize that teaching is a profession that can be supremely exhausting, but I know in my heart that the benefits outweigh the fatigue ten times over. Teaching requires patience, understanding, compassion, and enthusiasm - all things that I am more than willing to provide on a daily basis. I love kids, I love education, and I cannot wait to meet you all!

Educational Background
In 2005, I received my bachelors degree in education from the University of New Orleans. I also completed my Masters in Education Administration degree in 2017. I am now preparing to begin my doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Clearly, I believe in education and I am proud to be a lifetime learner. Because I am a native New Orleanian, I bleed Purple/Black and Gold... Geaux Tigers and Who Dat!!

My Family
In 2007, I married my wonderful high school sweetheart, Benny. We have three fabulous and extremely talented daughters Kennedie, Karlie, and Krewe. We also have a Chihuahua named Doug. In our spare time we try to visit New Orleans, attend dance competitions, and we shop ALOT! We are HUGE Saints fans, so if the game is on, we're probably posted in front of a television.
Memorable Moment!
Finally... I love OPRAH!!!! I just could not exclude this picture from my page. This picture is from the weekend I spent with her at the Life You Want to Live Conference. One of the best experiences of my life!!!!
