    Marie Sanford is going into her  11th year of  teaching.  She has previously taught music at the elementary and secondary levels,  and this is her 5th year as a middle school choir director in Humble ISD, and her 4th year at AMS.  She is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University (MM 2012, BME 2007) with a masters in music education with a choral concentration, and a bachelor of music education with a concentration in instrumental music.  Mrs. Sanford is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and Tau Beta Sigma.  Mrs. Sanford is married and mother to three beautiful children, ages 7 and 4, and almost 2!  Outside of choir, Mrs. Sanford loves fishing, watching too much Netflix or reading a good long novel when not chasing her kids around.
