2021-2022 Kindergarten Roundup Dates Announced
Humble ISD Schools have scheduled open houses or Kindergarten Roundups during the last three weeks of April. These events provide an opportunity for families to learn about the kindergarten program and registration process.

Pre-Kindergarten Pre-Registration at the Humble Civic Center on April 9 and April 16
Humble ISD invites parents to pre-register their children for Pre-Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. Parents can complete the pre-registration process at the Humble Civic Center or online.

A new partnership between Humble ISD’s “Students helping Veterans: Big Heroes, Tiny Homes” program, Operation Finally Home, Lowe’s, and the Greater Houston Builders Association will provide additional support to students designing and building homes for veterans in need.

Atascocita High School health science teacher Sara Hansen has been awarded a grant worth $2,500 to help fund classroom projects geared toward preparing students for careers in the medical field.

Humble ISD School Board Election scheduled for May 1
Humble ISD will have a School Board Election on Saturday, May 1. Early voting begins Monday, April 19. School board members are volunteers, who serve without pay, and are elected for four-year terms. This year, there are four positions scheduled for election on the seven-member board.

74th Annual Humble ISD Livestock Show & Auction

Humble ISD selects Billy Beattie as new Chief Financial Officer
Humble ISD has selected Billy Beattie as the new Chief Financial Officer. The position was previously held by Robert “Mike” Seale, who is retiring January 29. The Chief Financial Officer oversees the district’s financial services office and advises and directs the district in financial matters.

Quest Early College High School senior Sejal Gupta’s entry was the lone finalist in the poetry category for the iWrite Literacy Organization’s global competition. She will be honored at a virtual event on Nov. 14, 2020.

Humble ISD broke ground on three projects: a new middle school; major renovations and additions for Humble High School; and major renovations and expansion for Quest Early College High School on Friday, October 30.

New COVID Testing Service Coming Soon
Humble ISD is preparing to offer a new service: free, optional COVID-19 testing to students who attend school on campus and whose parents would like for them to be tested. The tests will be available through an online request form. After making the requests, parents will drive their children to a designated off-site medical clinic where the test will be administered for free.
