Stoufflet, Katie

 

 

Hello! My name is Katie Stoufflet and the 2022-2023 school year will be my 8th year to teach 5th grade math at GTE. I am a December 2000 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in math. I started as a full-time math teacher at Riverwood Middle School in Kingwood in August 2001. I taught 7th and 8th grade math for a little over 5 years before moving to Dallas. Upon moving to Dallas, my 1st son was born in January 2008. We then moved to Evansville, Indiana later that year and my 2nd son was born in July 2010. I took a break from teaching and was a stay-at-home-mom during this time. We moved back to Houston in December 2013 and I decided to come back to teaching for the 2015-2016 school year. This year, my oldest son is a 9th grader at Kingwood High School and my youngest son is a 7th grader at Creekwood Middle School.

 

I love coming to school every day and seeing the kids get excited about their learning. It's such a wonderful feeling to see the lightbulb go off or their eyes light up when they understand/learn a concept. :)
