I am super excited to start this school year. I am super excited not to be behind a computer screen this year.  I look forward to working with all the scholars on campus. I have taught 5th grade for 16 years!  I absolutely love what I do!

I moved to Texas 6 years ago from the Chicagoland area. I moved here to be close to my best friend and her family (that is who is in my picture).  I do not have any family here, just amazing students and my friends who are just like family to me.

I have a new puppy this year named Ivy.  She has been my Covid companion.  She is part Bishon and part Toy Poodle. (picture to come)

I spend some of my free time advocating for colorectal cancer for an organization called Colorectal Cancer Alliance.  I am on their young adult advisory board. During Covid I began a program where survivors Zoomed with newly diagnosed patients to give them hope and ease some fears. I am very passionate about doing everything I can for patients and to help end this disease in my lifetime!
