    The Varsity Lady Eagles brought home the 3rd place trophy from the Peggy Whitley Classic Tournament this weekend.  Elyssa Coleman & Dede Davis were both selected to the All-Tournament Team. The girls are on the road tonight vs. Cy-Ranch and will be competing in the Fort Bend ISD tourney this coming weekend.

    Students traveling to the annual Texas Southern Tiger Day on Wednesday, November 6 will meet in the back of the Cafeteria at 7 am with your permission slip. The bus will depart at 7:30 am. There are only 19 available seats so get your payment and permission slip ASAP.

    On Monday the AHS Cross Country team competed at the Region 3 championships. Avery Clover was crowned regional champion and will compete at the state meet along with the boys team of; Nahim A, Tyler Braden, Michael Archie, Myles Jackson, Aiden K, 

    Blake Brock, and Addison Gault who finished 3rd. Way to go Eagles!

    Pass / Fail forms can now be picked up. Forms are due to your house counselor no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 1st.

    The annual AHS Black Student Union Campus Tour Visit to Texas Southern University and luncheon at Mikki's Soul Food Cafe has been rescheduled to November 6 instead of Monday, November 4. Money is now due on or before Today, Friday, November 1 to Coach Tatum.

    The makeup day for yearbook photos for freshmen, sophomores and juniors will be Today, Monday, Oct. 28. This make-up day is for those students that did not take a picture on the original day or for students that bought a picture package and did not like their picture. If you bought a package and you want to retake your picture, you must bring the entire picture package on the make-up day and give the package to the photographer. Make-up photos will be taken during all lunch periods in the Blue LGI. If you have any questions, see the yearbook adviser, Mrs. Klosterboer, in room 1717

    AHS Fine Arts is excited to present it's first musical in four years!!! The Addams Family Musical is sure to be a spooky good time! Come see this creepy but loveable family and a huge ensemble of characters October 24th, 26th, and 28th in the Performing Arts Center.     Attention juniors, sophomores, and freshmen: Yearbook photos will be taken Sept. 24-27 during your English class in the Blue LGI. If you do not have an English class or you miss the day your class took a photo, you may go during lunch or your off period. It’s your chance to be in the yearbook.

    Rainbow 6 Siege players! The AHS Esports team is hosting tryouts to play for our own R6 team on Saturday, September 14th. We will be hosting it on pc and it will be online playing in custom matches with randomly decided teams to determine the official AHS R6 PC team. Individuals will be judged based on aim, map knowledge, teamwork skills, patience, and their ability to make proper callouts at the right times. We are excited to recruit new members and best of luck to all!

    In remembrance of 9/11, we will honor the lives of those lost with a brief moment of silence.

    This week is Gold, Fight, Win week! During lunches from Today, Wednesday, September 11th through Friday, September 13th we will be selling Gold Fight Win shirts. They’re $10 and anyone is allowed to pay with card or cash. We play Kingwood this Friday at 7 at Turner Stadium. Come out & support! 

    AHS will be offering the ASVAB to 10th, 11th and 12 graders on September 25, 2019. ASVAB is designed to help students explore their career options and make a plan for after high school. Participation is free and voluntary. Register now through September 6. Please see Mrs. McDonald if you have any questions.

    Attention juniors! It is time to register for the PSAT. The test will be given during school on October 16th and costs only $18. Register online by September 18th through the AHS testing website. See Mrs. McDonald in Upstairs Blue 2619 for more information.

    Attention Seniors: Yearbook photos will be Sept. 9-10 during your English classes in the Blue LGI. If you are a senior and don't have an English class, you can go during lunch or your off period. Senior Boys: Wear a white, collared shirt with a tie. White shirts and ties will be provided if needed. Senior Girls: Wear a nice outfit that doesn't have a collar. All seniors should dress up on both Monday and Tuesday to look your best. It's the Senior "A" Way!
