    Pre-K New Student Registration Information 2019-2020   

     

    Pre-Kindergarten ESL/Bilingual Language Support Center

    If your child has a native language other than English or is exposed to a language other than English and will be 4 on or before September 1, 2019, please make an appointment for language proficiency testing PRIOR to your regular registration appointment. These appointments are ONLY for language testing, NOT PK Registration.

    PreK Early Registration Appointments

    To apply for Pre-K for ANY eligibility (see below for eligibility criteria), you will need to make an appointment.  Appointments for PK Registration will be posted April 15 and will begin the week of April 29. 

    If you are referring your child due to speech concerns, delays, or a disability, please contact our speech pathologist or diagnostician to request a preschool screening.

    Please DO NOT complete the online enrollment until you have completed the application/approval process.

    Please bring the following items to your appointment:

    • Complete Immunization Records (all records, including electronic (My Chart) records must be signed or stamped by the physician or his/her designee or public health personnel)
    • Certified Birth Certificate
    • Current Proof of Residence (i.e., utility bill)
    • Proof of Income (pay receipts for previous 30 days or food stamp letter) 
    • Parent’s driver’s license for identification
    • Department of Defense identification (if service member is Active Duty)
    • Copy of Death Certificate from Department of Defense or memorandum signed by the Casualty Office (if service member Dies or is Killed)
    • Copy of Purple Heart orders or citation or copy of the Line Of Duty Determination or copy of an official letter from commander (if service member is Active Duty or Mobilized Reservist/Guardsman)

    Pre-Kindergarten Eligibility (for the 2019-2020 school year):

    Child turned 4 years old on or before September 1, 2019 AND meets at least ONE of the following requirements:

    • Homeless
    • Educationally disadvantaged
    • Families meeting free/reduced lunch guidelines
    • Get a chart of income eligibility HERE
    • Foster children
    • Difficulty speaking/comprehending English (testing required)
    • Child or stepchild of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority
    • Child or stepchild of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
    • Child that is, or has been, in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services in the State of Texas following an adversary hearing under Family Code Section 262.201
     

    Kindergarten

    Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 to qualify for Kindergarten.
    The first day of school for the 2018-2019 school year is Monday, Aug. 20, 2018.
     
    • New Kindergarten parents will need to complete the online registration.                                              
    • After enrolling online, parents please call the Campus Registrar to schedule an appointment to complete the registration process. 
    • Applications not processed with the Campus Registrar during the advertised window will be removed and you will need to re-apply online.
    • The following documents are required for enrollment:
      • Child’s Proof of Age and Proof of Identity (official birth certificate, adoption record, hospital birth record, passport or other legal document that establishes age and identity)
      • Parent/Guardian's driver's license or passport  
      • Immunization records (all records, including electronic (My Chart) records, must be signed or stamped by the physician or his/her designee or public health personnel)
      • Proof of Residency in Humble ISD (utility bill, lease agreement, house closing statement)

     

    New Student Registration

     
    Mondays - Thursdays starting August 6, 2018 from 8:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
    Late Registration Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. 
     
    • Parents of new students must complete the online registration before coming to campus.
    • After online registration is completed, please come to campus during the specified date and time and bring the required documents listed below. 
    • The following documents are required for enrollment:
      • Child’s Proof of Age and Proof of Identity (official birth certificate, adoption record, hospital birth record, passport or other legal document that establishes age and identity)
      • Parent/Guardian's driver's license or passport  
      • Immunization records (all records, including electronic (My Chart) records, must be signed or stamped by the physician or his/her designee or public health personnel)
      • Proof of Residency in Humble ISD (utility bill, lease agreement, house closing statement). Documentation used as proof of residency must be dated within the last 30 days. 

     
    Returning Students
     
    • The online Annual Update through HAC will begin August 1, 2018.
    • After online Annual Update is completed, please come to campus August 14-16 and bring proof of residency. 
    • Proof of Residency in Humble ISD is required for enrollment (utility bill, lease agreement, house closing statement). Documentation used as proof of residency must be dated within the last 30 days. 
     
    **Your child only needs to be with you at registration if he/she needs to be tested for language placement.**
