Digital Citizenship Curriculum in Humble ISD
Digital Citizenship can be defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with
regard to technology use. It is a larger
umbrella of skills and information that includes Internet Safety,
Cyberbullying, Online Communication, Copyright, Information Literacy, Digital
Access, Online Commerce, and more.
Starting with 2014-2015, Humble ISD will address Digital Citizenship through three lessons per grade level that include required Internet Safety instruction,
Cyberbullying, and one of the other topics relevant to each grade level. These lessons were created by Common Sense Media.
Family Tip Sheets: Each lesson comes with a Family Tip Sheet that parents can use to follow up with these topics at home.
