The district is dedicated to developing good digital citizens by training students and supporting parents as they navigate through the online community.

 

 

Digital Citizenship can be defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use.  It is a larger umbrella of skills and information that includes Internet Safety, Cyberbullying, Online Communication, Copyright, Information Literacy, Digital Access, Online Commerce, and more.

Starting with 2014-2015, Humble ISD will address Digital Citizenship through three lessons per grade level that include required Internet Safety instruction, Cyberbullying, and one of the other topics relevant to each grade level. These lessons were created by Common Sense Media.
