Woodland Hills Elementary's Official Attendance Time for ADA is 9:05 am. Any student who arrives at school after 9:05 am without a doctor's note is considered absent on the official attendance record. To report your child's absence, please call the Woodland Hills Elementary Absence Line at 281-641-1519, complete the online absence excuse form, email our registrar at firstname.lastname@example.org before 9:00 am, send a fax at 281-641-1517, or you may send a parent note with your student to school. Please leave a message with your child's name, date of absence, teacher's name, and reason for the absence. Per district policy, documentation for an absence is required within 48 hours of the student's return to school. After this time, it cannot be changed to an excused absence, unless approved by the campus administrator. After 3 unexcused absences, a letter from the district will be sent home.
Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classrooms when the tardy bell rings at 8:00 am. If a student arrives between 8:00 and 8:30, the student is to report to the office for a tardy slip. Otherwise, if a student arrives after 8:30, parents must sign the student in at the front office and the student will be given a tardy slip. By providing your student(s) with the gift of time, they are better prepared and ready for instruction.
